APOGEE Floor Level Network Controllers (FLNCs)

Provide an economical method to expand and coordinate FLN communication with other system controllers
A Floor Level Network Controller is a programmable Building Level Network (BLN) device dedicated to serving as a coordinator for up to 96* Floor Level Network (FLN) end devices (sensors, actuators, equipment controllers, etc). It communicates on the BLN, passing information about FLN devices to other BLN devices.
 
When would I use the FLNC versus another Controller?
When communication with only application-specific controllers is needed (Terminal Equipment Controllers, Lab Room Controllers, Differential Pressure Monitors, etc)
When there is a need to communicate with FLN devices past the capacity of an MBC, RBC or MEC

The FLNC functions similarly to MBCs, RBCs and MECs in its information processing and BLN communication capabilities, but has no internal I/O point connections. All physical points controlled by the FLNC must be terminated in the FLN device, allowing for a smaller enclosure.

Distributed information contained within FLN devices is communicated through the FLNC to other BLN panels and/or up to an Insight workstation. Up to 100 FLNCs, and other field panels can communicate concurrently on a peer-to-peer BLN.
