Digital
Energy Monitor (DEM)
Series 1000 & 2000 Electrical Submeters |
Detailed energy monitoring
for greater efficiency and choice
The DEM 1000 and 2000 provide cost-effective solutions for
electrical submetering and diagnostics. Designed to help you
improve the measurement, assessment, management and prediction
of your energy costs, they can serve as a valuable tool for
your operations.
Measured data can be used to:
Gain a better understanding of your energy baseline or load
profile Measure and verify energy conservation and performance
contract projects
Determine equipment and system efficiency
Identify performance problems in equipment and processes
Determine opportunities for energy efficiency improvement
projects
Forecast building demand and optimize energy efficiency
through load management applications
Support responsibility-based budgeting and departmental
cost allocation applications
Support tenant energy billing applications
|
|
APOGEE System compatible
Direct connection to the Floor Level Network with other
FLN devices.
Two models for different needs
Both DEM models measure consumption (kWH) and demand (kW),
while the DEM 2000 provides the added benefit of power diagnostic
information.
Simple to install
No box to be mounted on the wall and no calibration required.
Automatically compensates for CT orientation for ease of
installation, saving time and money.
Low cost
Fused voltage leads automatically accept any voltage from
208-480 VAC with no external potential transformer. This
feature makes our DEMs the least costly and technically
comprehensive unit of its kind on the market.
Technically Advanced
Our DEMs employ split-core, volt signal CTs, which are inherently
safer than amp-signal CTs and have high linearity at low
loads.

| Valves
and Actuators |
From world-renowned Powermite and Flowrite and globe valves
to butterfly and ball valves, SBT is a complete source. A
wide range of sizes (starting at ?) are available for use
with pneumatic or electronic actuators. The Powermite and
Flowrite? series control valves feature unique, simple, direct-coupled
designs that require no additional parts to "link"
the valves and actuators together. These valves deliver time
and money savings and provide tremendous application flexibility.
|
| Damper
Actuators |
Siemens offers a complete
line of damper actuators. Experience the difference with OpenAir(tm)
Electronic Direct-Coupled Damper Actuators. This full product
line offers three different sizes for excellent versatility.
All OpenAir products have standardized footprints and identical
wiring configurations, installations and start-up procedures
for faster installations and overall lower installed cost.
Powers pneumatic damper actuators are also available to fill
your control needs. Five different models are available to
provide you with the correct solution. |

| These globally approved
combustion control products are designed to optimize process
performance, minimize costs and simplify installation |
| SED2
HVAC Variable Frequency Drives |
| Siemens now offers
high-tech variable frequency drives and innovative electronic
bypass packages specifically designed for HVAC applications.
VFDs are great for building automation and HVAC applications
such as speed control for fans and pumps.
VFDs are available from 1 to 125 HP and in a wide variety
of voltage ranges. The SED2 drive and bypass packages are
chock full of features for HVAC applications.
|
| Low
harmonic design |
New
Electronic Bypass |
| A past concern about VFD use has
been problems related to harmonic currents on an AC line.
The SED2 design uses lowered DC link capacitance to minimize
harmonics in a cost effective manner. Other drive manufacturers
use filtering devices to control harmonics, adding cost and
complication. The SED2 variable frequency drives feature
special technology to minimize line harmonics without unnecessary
add-ons and costs.
|
The new electronic bypass packages
for SED2 VFDs provide the perfect power solution and the best
performance and value for HVAC applications. They interface
searmlessly with APOGEE and with other building automation
systems as well. They include simple keypad operation with
14 LED indicators.
Electronic control eliminates many conventional mechanical
components and reduces wiring. This improves system reliability,
streamlines installation and simplified control wiring.

| Critical
Environment, Lab and Fume Hood Control Products |
| Siemens Building Technologies
offers a range of equipment and controllers to serve the special
needs of laboratories and other critical environments. Designed,
manufactured and tested to precise specifications, we help
meet the high quality and validation demands of regulated
environments.
APOGEE Laboratory Room Controllers (LRC) are specially
designed to provide Direct Digital Control (DDC) for laboratory
space pressurization control. The LRC maintains airflow
between the room air supply and fume hood exhaust terminals,
and can operate either stand-alone or connected to operate
with other elements of your building system.
